 Project Overview and Challenge

 The engineering team of Ergil, an Äager brand, designed the sand removal package for the Sakarya Gas Field Development project. This package provides uninterrupted cleaning of sand build-up from oil and gas lines. Delivering the project as turnkey solution equipment is another important point of the project.

Sand accumulation is a major problem for oil and gas pipelines. In order not to interrupt the line, various solutions have been tried to be developed against this situation. However, the line must not be interrupted during the cleaning of the accumulated sand. Any interruption on the line can cause huge time and cost losses.

A talented engineering team of ERGIL, an Äager brand, designed a sand removal package for the Sakarya Gas Field Development project, taking into account special needs and every technical detail.

The turnkey project started with dimensioning and detail engineering and design. The project management was completed by procuring the necessary materials for the selection of materials suitable for the site, manufacturing, assembly and making all equipment complete, safe and ready for operation.

Production Sand Removal Systems (a.k.a. sand removal skids or sand removal packages) are designed to remove accumulated sand from oil and gas equipment (production separators, inlet separators, crude oil dryers, etc.) without interrupting operation. The increased flow of sand content in the oil and gas produced is often the result of lowering the well-head pressure to increase production. The sand accumulated in the separation bowl is automatically discharged into a sand receiver for disposal. In this way, the disposal process is carried out without interrupting the system.
